Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity Canada is an international, non-profit organization working for a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Their mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty.

General Fasteners Ltd is proud to be one of those community partners. In January 2009, GF donated more than $60,000.00 in tools and materials to Habitat for Humanity stores. Habitat for Humanity is currently building three 4-plexes on 16th Avenue in Calgary. The site is beside the Home Depot on 16th Ave. Check it out the next time you're in the area.

Habitat for Humanity Canada was founded in 1985 and consists of 30,000 volunteers and 71 Affiliate organizations from coast to coast. It is a member of Habitat for Humanity International which spans 100 countries and has already built over 200,000 homes. Worldwide, Habitat for Humanity is now building a new home every 24 minutes.
